Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged preferred
- relevant work experience preferred
- knowledge and understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- ability to use wand extractor, buffer, chariot extractor, chariot vacuum, burnisher, vacuum backpack, and high lift/scissor lift (manual and electric)
- ability to work under pressure
- maintain regular and punctual attendance
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks including balancing, climbing, bending, crawling, crouching, kneeling, reaching overhead, sitting, standing, talking, turning, twisting, walking and repetitive use of hands 51-100% of the time
- ability to push, pull, carry, lift, slide and transfer weights ranging from 1-50+ lbs
- work indoors and outdoors with exposure to loud noises and fumes
- strong problem solving, organizational and decision-making skills
Job Qualifications

- ability to build rapport with guests and coworkers
- basic knowledge of custodial equipment maintenance
Job Duties
- perform heavy duty custodial duties such as high dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, mopping, disposing of trash, power washing restrooms, stripping, waxing and buff floors, cleaning windows, mirrors, walls, doors, carpet, upholstery and other furnishings
- comply with custodial department standard operating procedures
- perform preventative maintenance of custodial equipment and clean equipment
- work as a team player by assisting coworkers, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment, and maintaining professional interactions
- build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions
- develop thorough knowledge of services, room locations, amenities, surroundings, and provide accurate directions and information for guest inquiries
- maintain courteous, positive and professional working relationships with Ellis Park personnel and the general public
- maintain all heavy floor equipment and supplies applicable to floor cleaning
- report equipment repair requirements to the custodial supervisor
- perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
