Job Requirements
- No minimum experience required
- On-the-job training is provided
- Ability to follow center cleaning procedures
- Ability to use cleaning equipment safely
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and moving furniture
- Commitment to infection control standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
Job Duties
- Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors following center procedures
- Occasionally sprays buffs, strips, or waxes floors including the use of wet floor signs
- Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable
- Empties trash cans, cleans exterior and interior, replaces liners
- Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets following center procedures
- Cleans glass surfaces including mirrors, pictures, and windows
- Cleans behind and underneath furnishings as required
- Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning
- Prevents/removes wax/dirt build-up in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways
- Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows
- Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies using a ladder
- Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms including furniture, bed frames, and windowsills
- Moves furniture to clean behind and underneath
- Turns bed mattresses after cleaning
