Job Requirements

- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as moving furniture and using ladders
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
- Basic understanding of cleaning standards and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- Ability to follow facility policies and procedures
- Knowledge of infection control standards
- Good physical stamina and mobility
- Ability to use cleaning equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Job Duties
- Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors
- Occasionally sprays buff, strips or waxes floors following procedures
- Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable
- Empties trash cans, cleans exterior and interior, replaces liners
- Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets following procedures
- Cleans glass surfaces including mirrors, pictures, and windows
- Cleans behind and underneath furnishings
- Follows infection control standards during cleaning
- Prevents and removes wax and dirt buildup in corners and baseboards
- Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies
- Removes and re-hangs curtains using a ladder
- Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient rooms
- Moves furniture to clean behind and underneath
- Turns bed mattresses after cleaning
