With over 40 senior living communities spread across multiple states, Trinity Health Senior Communities focuses on providing quality, compassionate care tailored to the unique needs of its residents. Glacier Hills, located in Ann Arbor, blends a strong sense of community with a commitment to fostering a positive environment for both residents and employees. The community is known for its dedication to excellence in senior living services, offering a safe and welcoming atmosphere where seniors can thrive and enjoy a high quality of life. Employees at Glacier Hills become part of a team that values respect, diversity, and career growth while maintaining high standards of care.
The Housekeeper role at Glacier Hills is a full-time, day-shift position designed for individuals who are passionate about maintaining cleanliness and safety in a senior living environment. Scheduled from 9am to 5pm, this position is vital in ensuring that all assigned work areas remain clean, sanitary, and comfortable for residents, guests, and staff. Housekeepers at Glacier Hills play a critical part in preserving a healthy environment by adhering to infection control standards and universal precautions. Their work ensures that all community spaces are not only visually appealing but also safe and hygienic, which directly contributes to the well-being of every individual living or visiting the community.
This role requires detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and understand the importance of their contribution to the overall community experience. Responsibilities include cleaning and polishing all areas of the community, such as windows, mirrors, walls, ceilings, furnishings, fixtures, heating and cooling units, and floors. A comprehensive approach to floor care is necessary, involving a variety of tasks like sweeping, dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting to maintain impeccable standards. In addition to regular daily tasks, housekeepers are responsible for deep thorough cleaning of resident rooms as needed, including pre-admission and post-discharge sanitation to ensure the highest quality of hygiene.
Working at Glacier Hills means becoming part of a company that values its colleagues and offers numerous benefits. Employees receive day-one benefits, paid holidays, and generous paid time off, acknowledging the importance of work-life balance. The community encourages career advancement and continual learning by offering up to $4,000 annually in tuition reimbursement. Staff also enjoy valuable discounts with major vendors such as AT&T, Verizon, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and Quicken Loans. Health benefits include low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, with added advantages like reduced costs for medical services when visiting facilities within the Trinity Health network. Candidates can expect a fast response during the interview process, which reflects the company’s respect for applicants’ time and interest.
Glacier Hills is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive culture rooted in its mission and core values. The community honors the dignity of every person, recognizing the diverse perspectives and talents each colleague brings. This respectful environment promotes personal growth and teamwork, ultimately delivering more compassionate, person-centered care. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Glacier Hills ensures all qualified applicants are considered fairly without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local law. This commitment to equality and diversity further reinforces the community’s dedication to providing a welcoming workplace for all.
