The Housekeeper position at Prisma Health, located at 5 Richland Medical Park Drive in Columbia, SC, offers both full-time and part-time employment opportunities with a pay range of $18.00 to $23.00 per hour. The typical work schedule includes a shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm with rotating weekends, though days may vary and further details will be provided during the interview process. This role welcomes candidates with prior housekeeping experience but is also open to training willing individuals. The primary responsibility of the housekeeper is to perform light cleaning duties to maintain orderliness and cleanliness within healthcare facilities, including hospitals, hotels, and restaurants under Crothall’s care. This includes making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, vacuuming, floor care, and ensuring all areas meet quality standards for safety and comfort. The housekeeper will also respond to guest and staff requests, maintain furnishings, and dispose of trash safely.

This position is integral to providing a clean and hygienic environment that directly impacts patient care and overall facility standards. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail
  • sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors
  • vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies
  • shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery
  • dusts and polishes furniture and fittings
  • cleans metal fixtures and fittings
  • empties and cleans trash containers
  • disposes of trash in a sanitary manner
  • cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
  • wipes down glass surfaces
  • makes up beds and changes linens as required
  • realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
  • responds to guest queries and requests
  • responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses
