The Housekeeper position at Crothall Healthcare, located at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge, LA, is a full-time role requiring dedication to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within healthcare environments. This role plays a critical part in enhancing patient and visitor experiences through detailed cleaning services including making beds, replenishing linens, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing furniture and fixtures. Working Monday through Friday with rotating weekends, this role offers varied hours and pays between $14.00 and $15.00 per hour. Housekeepers are expected to perform a range of cleaning duties that include sweeping, mopping, shampooing carpets and upholstery, cleaning washbasins and mirrors, and disposing of trash safely and hygienically. Employees are also responsible for responding promptly to housekeeping requests and problems to ensure the environment remains safe and comfortable.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to work Monday through Friday with rotating weekends
- capability to perform the physical demands of the role including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and visitors
- must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
- willingness to comply with workplace safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties
- provide quality customer service by giving one-on-one attention to detail
- sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors
- vacuum carpets, rugs and draperies
- shampoo carpets, rugs and upholstery
- dust and polish furniture and fittings
- clean metal fixtures and fittings
- empty and clean trash containers
- dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
- clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
- wipe down glass surfaces
- make up beds and change linens as required
- realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
- respond to guest queries and requests
- respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills and broken glasses
- contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers and associates
- perform other duties as assigned
