The role of Room Attendant at Foley House Inn is integral to maintaining the high standards of Kessler Hospitality. This hourly position focuses on ensuring that guest rooms are clean, inviting, and well-appointed while delivering courteous and efficient service to every guest. Room Attendants are responsible for a wide range of housekeeping activities including thorough cleaning of guestrooms, restocking supplies, and maintaining public areas. Attention to detail is paramount, as this role directly impacts guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of the inn.

In this position, the Room Attendant must execute pre-cleaning duties such as preparing housekeeping carts and ensuring adequate supply levels. Responsibilities extend to the management of waste removal, upkeep of hallways and closets, and reporting maintenance issues promptly. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members, embodying a friendly and service-oriented demeanor in all interactions. This role demands physical stamina and the strength to handle up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently, as well as the endurance to stand for entire work shifts.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways
  • Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use
  • Replenish chemical bottles
  • Report all missing items from room to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
  • Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
  • Handle items for Lost and Found according to the standards
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
