The role of Housekeeper - Room Attendant is integral to the hotel's mission of providing a pristine and delightful environment for every guest. Reporting directly to the Executive Housekeeper, this position is responsible for the meticulous cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The Housekeeper ensures that each room is sanitized, orderly, and replenished with necessary linens and toiletries, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and comfort. Attention to detail in performing cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and bathroom maintenance is essential. Additionally, the Housekeeper plays a vital role in hotel safety by identifying and reporting maintenance issues, potential hazards, and misplaced guest items to management. This position demands the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team. Working in a hotel environment with moderate noise levels, the Housekeeper will engage in physical tasks that include standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the work shift. Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand walk and move throughout the hotel property for the majority of the work shift
- Must be able to lift carry push or pull up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to reach bend stoop and kneel frequently
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Basic understanding of cleaning supplies and equipment
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain guest rooms including making beds dusting vacuuming and replenishing linens and toiletries
- Clean and maintain bathrooms including toilets showers mirrors and floors
- Restock supplies such as towels soaps and tissues in guest rooms and public restrooms
- Report any maintenance issues safety hazards or lost-and-found items to the Housekeeping Manager
- Follow hotel security protocols and ensure the safety and privacy of guests
- Perform general cleaning tasks in public areas such as lobbies corridors and stairwells
- Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner
