Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred but not required
- ability to read, write and communicate in English
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting up to 50 pounds
- ability to work full-time
- willingness to comply with all federal, state and local housekeeping regulations
- must display a positive attitude
- ability to maintain discretion and respect privacy of residents
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- experience performing cleaning and sanitizing tasks in a healthcare or residential facility is desirable

Job Duties
- Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout the facility
- uses cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies
- cleans and disinfects resident rooms and bathrooms
- cleans and disinfects kitchen and dining areas
- wipes and dusts surfaces in rooms and cleans mirrors
- vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes
- removes linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets
- places and neatly tucks clean sheets and blankets on beds and replaces pillowcases
- stocks towels, washcloths, and hand towels in bathrooms
- picks up and empties trash containers
- checks room for food articles and removes unauthorized items, reporting and turning in items found
- maintains floors safe and clear of obstructions including residents' belongings and supplies
- loads washers and dryers and folds sheets and towels in laundry room as needed
- uses housekeeping supplies efficiently
- assists in proper care of housekeeping equipment and identifies and reports any equipment malfunction to supervisor
- notifies maintenance if something is not working properly
- performs other duties as assigned
