Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to understand and communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • able to follow written and oral instructions
  • willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks
  • physical ability to stand continuously, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, carry items frequently, balance, twist, crouch, kneel occasionally, and reach at various heights
  • ability to use cleaning tools and equipment safely
  • ability to report unsafe conditions
  • maintain professional demeanor
  • accept supervision and work under close supervision
  • ability to interact with diverse patient populations and coworkers

Job Qualifications

  • training period of 1-3 months
  • no licensure, registration, or certification required

Job Duties

  • clean and service assigned areas including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting
  • participate in project work such as wall washing, window washing, cleaning light fixtures, upholstery, floor stripping, carpet extracting
  • maintain professional demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and coworkers
  • follow safety policies and procedures
  • report unsafe conditions or hazards immediately
  • perform routine tasks despite interruptions and prioritize patient and visitor needs
  • ensure supplies and equipment are adequate to complete assigned tasks
