Working closely with the Environmental Services team, the aide prepares cleaning carts, stocks closets, and ensures all areas meet rigorous quality inspections with cleanliness scores between 92% and 100%. Job Requirements
- 1-2 years previous Environmental Services experience or equivalent
- 1-2 years previous Environmental Services hospital experience preferred
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and/or written instructions
- Commitment to personal appearance and grooming standards
- Ability to work various schedules
- Completion of Basic Life Support training
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support certification
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and/or written instructions
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Previous customer service experience or demonstrated interpersonal skills preferred
Job Duties
- Actively participates in team development, achieving quality measures, and in accomplishing department goals and objectives
- Cleans assigned areas in order to meet daily and annual cleanliness levels of quality control inspections
- Maintains a cleanliness score between 92%-100%
- Reviews daily work assignment lists to ensure tasks are completed and communicates any incomplete tasks to the shift supervisor
- Cleans and prepares Environmental Services cleaning carts and ensures closets are stocked, organized, and ready for the next shift
- Informs supervisors when leaving and returning to assigned areas
- Adheres to personal appearance, dress, and grooming standards per departmental policy
- Seeks to maintain and improve knowledge, skills, and abilities through training and applies information from departmental resources
- Handles tools, supplies, and equipment responsibly following safety and Personal Protective Equipment protocols
