Currently, Santiam Hospital is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join their Facilities Department. This role is available in full-time and part-time capacities, with varied schedules including Monday to Sunday shifts. As a Housekeeper at Santiam Hospital, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include cleaning a wide range of hospital areas such as corridors, elevators, restrooms, lounges, and patient rooms, ensuring that all spaces meet high standards of hygiene and sanitation. You will also be entrusted with disinfecting equipment and supplies to prevent the spread of infections and maintaining waste management by emptying receptacles regularly. The role involves transporting and stocking cleaning supplies, linens, toiletries, and towels, supporting the overall operational efficiency of the Facilities Department. Additionally, you may be assigned other duties by supervisors or managers as needed. Protecting patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA requirements will be a vital part of your responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of respecting patients' privacy concerning their personal, medical, and financial information.

The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and works well within a team. Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare settings is preferred as it equips the individual with the understanding of the unique challenges and standards required in a hospital environment. Physical stamina and the ability to perform moderately demanding physical tasks such as lifting, bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods are essential.   • disinfect equipment and supplies

  • transport and stock cleaning supplies, linens, toiletries, and towels
  • perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor, manager, or director
  • protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical, and financial information, adhering to HIPAA requirements
