This culture empowers team members to transform healthcare experiences while building lasting professional relationships. Crothall’s comprehensive range of services extends beyond environmental services to include Patient Transportation, Patient Observation, Facilities Management, Healthcare Technology Solutions, Ambulatory Services, and Sterile Processing.
This job opportunity is for the position of Housekeeper in Ambulatory Services at AdventHealth Centra Care Lakeland, located at 3637 US Highway 98 North, Lakeland, FL 33809. The company is hiring both full-time and part-time staff to join their team. Schedules available include Monday to Friday from 8:30 PM to 1:30 AM, Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and also a shorter weekend shift from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This role does not require previous experience as Crothall is willing to train new employees to meet the rigorous standards of cleaning and disinfecting ambulatory healthcare facilities. In this role, Housekeepers will perform specialized cleaning duties designed to ensure the highest levels of hygiene and safety within ambulatory healthcare facilities. This includes disinfecting restrooms, patient areas, exam rooms, procedure rooms, and designated specialty areas. Attention to detail is essential when cleaning surfaces with specified chemicals, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, and maintaining cleanliness of windows and reception glass. The position also involves moving furniture and medical equipment to enable thorough cleaning, ensuring items are realigned according to recommended layouts. Housekeepers will be responsible for cleaning floors using methods such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot-cleaning carpets and upholstery as needed.
Additional responsibilities include collecting and disposing of both general and biohazardous waste, replenishing essential supplies like soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags. Maintaining equipment and storage areas in a clean and orderly condition is also vital, as is familiarity with security procedures such as arming and disarming alarm systems. This diverse range of duties not only helps maintain the smooth operation of healthcare facilities but also contributes significantly to patient safety and comfort.
Crothall Healthcare emphasizes a supportive work environment that fosters growth, responsibility, and teamwork. Employees are valued for their contributions to the health and wellbeing of patients and staff, making this position not just a job but a meaningful career choice. The company also prioritizes fairness and equality in the workplace, ensuring all applicants and associates are treated with respect and consideration, regardless of background or personal characteristics. This commitment to inclusiveness extends to all aspects of employment, from hiring to day-to-day interactions within the team.
