Job Description
Cascadia Healthcare is a reputable organization dedicated to providing exceptional long-term care services for residents in a compassionate and supportive environment. The facility is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety to ensure the well-being of residents, visitors, and employees. With a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere, Cascadia Healthcare values employees who take pride and ownership in maintaining the condition of the facility. This organization operates in compliance with state-specific background check requirements to uphold the safety and integrity of its caregiving environment.
The position available is for a facility cleaning professional whose primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of various areas within the healthcare facility. The role entails cleaning resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms, and other designated spaces to ensure these areas are hygienic and presentable. This individual will be tasked with safely mixing and using cleaning solutions while adhering to proper storage procedures to prevent hazards. A critical aspect of the job includes labeling and appropriately disposing of infectious waste to comply with health and safety regulations.
Besides routine cleaning duties, punctuality and consistent attendance during assigned shifts are essential. The role also requires flexibility to perform additional tasks as assigned to support the overall operation of the facility. Every task must be completed while following the company’s Code of Business Conduct, relevant policies, and federal or state regulations. This ensures professional standards are maintained throughout.
The ideal candidate will possess basic reading and writing skills appropriate to the job, effective communication abilities for interacting with residents, family members, and staff, and knowledge of infection control techniques. Patience and politeness are also key attributes to foster a respectful and comforting environment for residents and visitors alike. Prior experience in a long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory, making this an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates committed to a career in healthcare support.
Working at Cascadia Healthcare offers a meaningful way to contribute to the quality of life for residents while growing personal skills in a structured, supportive environment. This cleaning professional role plays a vital part in safeguarding the health and comfort of everyone who enters the facility. It is an opportunity to join an organization focused on care, respect, and community responsibility while advancing one’s career in healthcare facilities management and support.
