Job Description

AC Hotels by Marriott is a distinguished brand within Marriott International’s portfolio, known for its contemporary design and focus on providing guests with a sleek, modern hospitality experience. Located in the vibrant and picturesque setting of Miami Beach, Florida, the property at 2912 Collins Ave stands out as a premier destination for both leisure and business travelers seeking exceptional service and an attention-to-detail atmosphere. AC Hotels embodies a culture that values creativity, innovation, and a global mindset, encouraging its associates, referred to as family members, to deliver precise design and meticulous service that elevates the guest experience. As part of Marriott International, the hotel strongly commits to diversity, equality, and inclusion, fostering an environment free from discrimination and rich with opportunities for professional growth and cultural exchange.

The role offered at this location is a vital evening shift position within the Engineering & Facilities department, focused on non-management responsibilities. In this full-time position, the Maintenance Technician undertakes a diverse range of preventative maintenance and repair tasks essential for maintaining the comfort, safety, and aesthetic quality of guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas. The technician performs tasks such as inspecting and repairing mattresses and bed frames, managing upholstery and carpet upkeep through vacuuming and spot cleaning, and addressing minor construction repairs like patching holes and painting touch-ups. Attention to detail is paramount, as the technician ensures all hardware and appliances function properly, light fixtures are replaced as needed, and rooms meet rigorous preventative maintenance standards. Cleaning responsibilities include scrubbing bathtubs, wall tiles, floors, windows, and mirrors to uphold cleanliness and hygiene.

Safety is a core priority, requiring adherence to all company protocols and immediate reporting of any hazards to supervisors. The ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and assist with heavier items, is necessary due to the nature of the physical work involved. The role demands stamina as technicians might be standing, sitting, or walking throughout their shift. Moreover, the position embodies Marriott’s dedication to guest satisfaction by greeting all visitors warmly and anticipating their needs. The role integrates teamwork and communication skills, supporting colleagues to reach common goals and uphold the company’s quality standards throughout the property. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a globally respected brand, enhancing your technical skills and hospitality knowledge in a dynamic, guest-focused environment. The evening shift provides a structural work routine with consistent hours, catering to professionals seeking a stable full-time role in the hospitality engineering sector at one of Miami Beach’s top hotels.
