The role offered is a Housekeeper position within the hotel, which comes with a competitive salary range of $16.30 to $17.30 per hour. The position is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of the hotel’s suites, rooms, and public areas, contributing directly to the guest experience. As a Housekeeper, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of light cleaning duties including making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, vacuuming, and general tidying up to meet health and safety standards.

The Housekeeper’s daily tasks include detailed cleaning efforts like dusting, vacuuming, shampooing carpets and rugs, cleaning windows and tracks, wiping down furniture, and thorough sanitation of bathrooms. This role also involves efficient waste management by disposing of trash properly and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the maid cart stocked with necessary supplies and functioning equipment.

Beyond cleaning duties, this position plays an important part in guest services. Housekeepers are expected to greet guests politely, respond promptly to special requests, and provide courteous information about hotel amenities and local attractions, thereby contributing positively to the hotel’s reputation and the overall guest experience.

Furthermore, the Housekeeper will assist with managing supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing materials, and bathroom accessories, ensuring that guest rooms are well-equipped and inviting. The role requires vigilance for maintenance concerns and safety hazards, reporting such issues to management as needed to maintain a secure environment.

Candidates for this position should ideally possess a high school degree or equivalent and have at least six months of experience in housekeeping or janitorial services, although this is preferred rather than mandatory. The role requires adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols, compliance with all safety procedures, and the ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.

The work shift for this position starts at 9 AM and concludes between 3 PM and 5 PM depending on business demands. It's important to note that no immigration or work visa sponsorship will be provided for this role.

Job Duties

  • Cleaning suites, rooms, and other areas as assigned
  • making beds, dusting, vacuuming and washing windows/tracks
  • using vacuum cleaners and shampooers to clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • wiping down counters, coffee tables, side tables and other furniture
  • thoroughly cleaning bathrooms, showers, toilets, bathtubs, sinks, flooring, and countertops
  • remove all trash from room, empty trash cans, place in larger bag(s), and deliver to designated area
  • reporting rooms as cleaned and available
