This distinction reflects Bayview's commitment to providing exceptional care and a thriving community for seniors. Bayview offers a variety of residential options, enriching activities, comprehensive health services, and an engaging environment that supports residents’ independence and quality of life.

The Housekeeper position within the Environmental Services department is an hourly, non-exempt role reporting to the Environmental Services Manager. Scheduled from Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm, this position pays between $22.00 and $24.00 per hour, depending on experience. The role is key in maintaining a hygienic and orderly environment throughout the facility, ensuring the comfort, safety, and dignity of residents, children, staff, and visitors alike. The job also includes identifying areas that need cleaning without prompting, responding promptly to cleaning requests, and assisting with laundry services when necessary. Effective communication skills, a respectful demeanor towards residents and colleagues, and the ability to honor resident preferences where safely feasible are essential attributes. The Housekeeper fosters a positive team environment and contributes to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with all applicable regulations, including background checks and tuberculosis requirements.

Bayview values a positive and proactive approach, requiring patience, flexibility, and genuine care for elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and children. Physical requirements include standing for the majority of the shift, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling, along with the occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Adequate vision and hearing to perform the job safely are also critical.

At Bayview, you will not only have a meaningful job but also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 403(b) plan with up to 4% match, health and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement arrangements, employee assistance programs, subsidized transit passes, secure parking, paid time off, on-site daycare, and affordable on-site dining.
