Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to stand for most of the shift
- Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Adequate vision and hearing to perform duties safely
- Must comply with background check and tuberculosis screening requirements
- Availability to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm
Job Qualifications
- Ability to identify areas in need of cleaning and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong organizational skills and motivation to work efficiently
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Understanding of infection control practices and blood-borne pathogen precautions
- Patience, flexibility, positive attitude, and genuine care for elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and children
- Ability to accept requests and feedback graciously
Job Duties
- Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environment by cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces according to policies and standards
- Replace bed linens and restock supplies as needed
- Empty trash and ensure areas remain neat and orderly
- Proactively identify and address areas requiring cleaning
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and assist with laundry services
- Interact respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors
- Attend required trainings, maintain confidentiality, comply with regulations, and perform other duties as assigned
