This job is geared toward candidates interested in performing preventative maintenance and general upkeep across guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces. The work schedule includes evening shifts and weekend availability is preferred, providing flexibility suited for part-time employment.

As a member of the team, the successful candidate will carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks such as mattress flipping and inspection, furniture assembly, thorough cleaning behind and beneath furniture, spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, minor touch-up painting, and ensuring all in-room hardware and appliances are functional. This role also involves repairing grout and caulking, replacing light fixtures, and conducting minor repairs like tightening loose toilet seats and changing light bulbs. Additionally, the job requires general cleaning of various guestroom surfaces, including tubs, wall tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors.

The maintenance associate is responsible for promptly reporting any serious maintenance issues, unusual findings, or safety hazards to supervisory staff, underscoring the priority Marriott places on safety and operational excellence. Adherence to all company safety and security procedures is mandatory, along with completion of required safety trainings and certifications. The role demands physical stamina to perform tasks that involve reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and moving objects up to 50 pounds independently, with assistance for heavier items.
