The role of Room Attendant/Housekeeper is critical to our operation as it directly impacts the guest experience through cleanliness and orderliness. This full-time position, supervised by the Head of Housekeeping, demands a keen eye for detail and a passionate commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and tidiness. The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and stocking guest rooms and public areas, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and ensuring that every space is spotless and inviting. This position requires someone with a positive and energetic personality, capable of delivering outstanding customer service alongside their technical cleaning duties. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate urgency in completing tasks, and strictly follow all federal, state, local, and brand health and safety protocols.

Beyond cleaning, the role also involves guest interaction, such as greeting guests politely, assisting with requests, and maintaining open communication with housekeeping management to report room statuses and any maintenance concerns. The successful candidate must be able to organize and maintain supplies and equipment efficiently and participate in periodic deep cleanings and staff training. This position not only requires strong physical stamina but also a professional demeanor and dedication to contributing to a positive work environment. Job Duties

possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service and cleanliness to our guests
maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor, wearing the brand-approved uniform and name tag as required
maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all areas giving our guests the highest level of trust in our housekeeping staff
demonstrate a professional sense of urgency while in guest rooms and public spaces to provide a thoughtful guest experience promptly, consistently meeting budgeted goals for minutes per room
clean and stock all guest rooms as assigned, including changing linens, replacing supplies, dusting, vacuuming, stocking supplies, emptying trash, removing used linens and room service items, cleaning bathrooms, toilets, tubs, and sink, dusting, polishing furniture, straightening furnishings and appliances, cleaning appliances and dishes if applicable
keep head housekeeper informed of room status on a timely basis
greet guests as you encounter them throughout the property
take pride in your work, strictly adhering to all federal, state, local and brand health, safety, and sanitary guidelines
complete training in all areas of security, alcohol, and health and safety, ensuring that all OSHA, state, and federal guidelines for chemical, fire, health, and safety are being followed, keeping safety in mind in all things
follow all safe chemical handling procedures according to the chemical manufacturer’s instructions
keep workspace, storage rooms, housekeeping carts clean and well organized and stocked, including equipment such as vacuum cleaners
work in an organized fashion following the step-by-step process
observe the condition of furniture, walls, trim, carpet, and appliances, report all deficiencies following the hotels' policies
keep lines of communication open within the housekeeping department, participate in daily standup meetings, housekeeping, and all staff meetings
adhere to key control guidelines
assist in quarterly, spring, fall, annual cleaning duties as assigned
turn in lost and found items following the company procedure
assist in training of new staff
participates in and supports a positive, enjoyable work environment
holds an understanding of hotel products and services (ie, food and beverage, recreation)
perform other duties as assigned
