The company is deeply committed to developing talent and fostering high-performance leadership teams that drive excellence across all operations. By harnessing the collective skills and efforts of its workforce, Northwood consistently achieves superior results and continues to thrive in the competitive hospitality landscape.
Within this dynamic environment, Northwood manages hotels known for their exceptional service and distinctive guest offerings. The organization prioritizes inclusivity, diversity, and employee development, creating a workplace culture where every team member can contribute meaningfully and grow professionally. The role of Room Attendant, reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, is vital in maintaining the quality and presentation of guest rooms and public areas. The position centers on ensuring cleanliness, comfort, and a welcoming environment that enhances the guest experience. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms, including bed-making, linen changes, dusting, vacuuming, and bathroom sanitation. In addition to room-specific duties, you will also maintain public areas such as hallways, stairwells, and lobbies through sweeping, mopping, and trash management.
Guest service is a key component of this role, requiring prompt, courteous responses to guest inquiries and requests. Reporting maintenance issues and safety concerns forms part of your responsibilities to ensure a safe and pleasant stay for all visitors. Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and holidays, is essential, reflecting the 24/7 nature of the hospitality industry.
Beyond cleaning duties, the Room Attendant may assist with laundry tasks and inventory control, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the housekeeping department. Northwood values attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, qualities that are instrumental in fulfilling this role effectively.
Employing individuals who can work independently while collaborating seamlessly with the housekeeping team is crucial. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training and support are provided. The role also demands physical capability to lift and carry heavy objects, aligned with the physical nature of the duties.
Northwood offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, hotel discounts, paid time off, and an employee assistance program. These benefits reflect the company's commitment to supporting its employees' well-being and job satisfaction.
