The Sheraton Raleigh Hotel, part of White Lodging's extensive portfolio, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join their team. As a Housekeeper, your primary role will be to uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards that contribute significantly to the guests' satisfaction and overall experience. The position involves ensuring guest rooms and common areas are sparkling clean and inviting, which directly impacts the hotel's reputation and guest loyalty.

In this role, the Housekeeper will be responsible for tasks such as stripping dirty linens, cleaning bathrooms, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking rooms with necessary supplies. Additionally, housekeeping carts are to be organized and restocked regularly to support efficient workflow throughout the shift. The Housekeeper must conduct self-inspections of rooms and submit detailed room status reports to the Supervisor after completion to maintain service quality. This position requires a strong commitment to safety standards, ensuring a secure environment for guests and colleagues alike.

The ideal candidate should possess strong guest focus and exceptional customer service skills, demonstrating reliability and dependability in completing housekeeping tasks thoroughly. Motivation and initiative to deliver the highest standards every day are crucial, along with keen attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness. While prior cleaning experience of at least one year is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. Training and certification sign-offs will be provided to ensure competency and adherence to company standards.

Physical requirements for the Housekeeper role include the ability to lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally. The position demands flexibility to stand and move quickly for extended periods and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, according to business needs. Job Requirements

  • Prior cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service to guests by anticipating and exceeding their expectations
  • Ensure guest rooms and bathrooms are clean, sanitary, and sparkling
  • Strip dirty linen and trash, clean bathrooms, make beds, dust, vacuum, and restock rooms
  • Clean, organize, and restock the housekeeping cart
  • Self-inspect rooms and submit room status reports to Supervisor upon completion
  • Practice safety standards at all times and help maintain a safe property for guests and associates
  • Perform other duties as assigned
