TerraBella Senior Living is currently seeking an experienced Housekeeper to join their TerraBella Rock Hill community. As a Housekeeper within this vibrant community, the individual will play an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff. This position is pivotal in ensuring that apartment homes, common areas, lounges, and offices are impeccably maintained according to established schedules, including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning routines. The Housekeeper will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing bathroom fixtures, cleaning tiles, and managing laundry operations.

The role requires a conscientious and proactive individual who can effectively handle cleaning materials, maintain equipment in orderly condition, and oversee the safe storage of cleaning chemicals, adhering to safety protocols. Additionally, the Housekeeper will be expected to report any repair needs and inventory requirements promptly to the Lead Housekeeper, contributing to the smooth functioning of the community operations. This position also involves interaction with residents, guests, and team members, demanding a courteous and friendly demeanor. The physical demands of the role include frequent walking, standing, lifting, and the ability to perform tasks that require climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous housekeeping experience preferred
ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents
ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population
ability to stand walk use hands to finger handle or feel reach with hands and arms climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl sit and lift or move weights up to 50 pounds
ability to demonstrate specific vision abilities including close vision and color vision

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

performs cleaning duties according to schedule daily weekly monthly in assigned areas such as apartment homes common areas lounges and offices
sweeps dusts dust mops and wet mops all floors and stairways spot cleans and vacuums floors rugs carpets and runners rotates runners in hallways and entryways
cleans sanitizes and polishes both lavatory shower and sink fixtures and facilities stocks dispensers as necessary
scrubs bath and shower room tiles woodwork window frames and sills
maintains equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition
collects trash and refuse from work areas and places in designated pick-up areas
responsible for collecting cleaning and redistributing the community laundry
responsible for maintaining the commercial laundry in a clean orderly and sanitary condition
ensures cleaning chemicals are kept stored and locked when not in use
ensures any cords carts equipment and other hazards are kept out of the way at all times not blocking exits and in compliance with fire codes
reports any needed repairs and supply and equipment needs to the lead housekeeper
other duties as assigned
