Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
able to follow detailed instructions
physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
dependable and punctual
good interpersonal skills
ability to work independently and as part of a team
willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
effective communication in English with employees and residents
general knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
ability to retain orders up to four at one time
strong organization and time management skills
basic computer skills

Job Duties

Provide general housekeeping for both the community as a whole and individual resident apartments
vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning the main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments
clean and defrost refrigerators as needed
change bed linens and ensure adequate linen supplies in each apartment
turn mattresses as necessary with assistance
empty waste baskets
provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed
launder all linens using provided laundry facilities
follow company sanitation and safety procedures
greet residents and guests at each table
serve beverages, cereals, soups, salads, meals, and desserts
return cart to kitchen and assist with storage of perishable items
deliver trays to resident rooms if needed
bus and clear dishes from tables after meals
reset tables and chairs following proper sanitizing procedures
vacuum carpets in dining areas
complete side work such as filling sugar holders, replenishing creamers, and cleaning coffeemaker
perform other duties as assigned
