The role of a Housekeeper at The Midland Hotel holds significant importance in delivering memorable guest experiences by ensuring immaculate cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public spaces. Housekeepers act as the "Heart of the House," directly influencing guest comfort and satisfaction by maintaining sanitary, welcoming environments. The job entails detailed attention to cleaning standards, safety vigilance, and respectful handling of guest property. Training and career progression opportunities are integral to this role, with experienced housekeepers advancing into supervisory or management roles, including Housekeeping Supervisor, Manager, or Executive Housekeeper. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior housekeeping experience preferred

  • operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters
  • lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs

Job Duties

  • Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well
  • work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness
  • keep work cart orderly and properly stocked
  • proper utilization of equipment supplies and guest amenities
  • thorough cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas
  • daily changing and inspection of linens and towels, following the standards set forth in the Green Program
  • practice safety standards and be aware of safety hazards and properly reporting as found
  • respect for guests' property should always be exercised
  • responsible care of equipment
  • reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, to maintain accurate time records and follows proper standards for issuance of rooms
  • remain alert, courteous, and helpful to the guests and co-workers always
  • perform other related duties as requested by Floor Supervisor
