Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our dedicated environmental services team. This full-time role is crucial in maintaining the overall cleanliness and comfort of our facility by performing a wide range of cleaning duties. The Housekeeper will be responsible for tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning, sanitizing restrooms, resident rooms, and other common areas. Additionally, the Housekeeper will ensure proper disposal of trash, restock necessary supplies, and use cleaning chemicals and power equipment safely and effectively. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to manage time efficiently while working independently.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or facility cleaning preferred
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if required

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in floor care and facility cleaning preferred
  • Familiarity with industrial and commercial cleaning techniques and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and follow assigned schedules
  • Strong attention to detail with commitment to cleanliness
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift or move heavy objects
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling and disposal practices
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers vacuums and carpet cleaners

Job Duties

  • Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting sweeping mopping vacuuming and window cleaning
  • Sanitize restrooms break rooms resident rooms and other common areas
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed
  • Restock bathroom and cleaning supplies such as toilet paper soap and paper towels
  • Maintain inventory and inform supervisor when supplies need to be reordered
  • Use cleaning chemicals and power equipment safely and properly
  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to appropriate personnel
  • Assist with special cleaning projects and deep-cleaning assignments as needed
