Job Description
White Lodging is a distinguished hospitality company known for developing and operating a portfolio of award-winning premium-brand hotels, rooftop bars, and restaurants located in some of the best cities in the United States. With a commitment to excellence, White Lodging creates exceptional experiences for guests and strives to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for both visitors and associates. The company understands that hospitality is not just about services or amenities, but about making people feel valued and cared for during their stay. Their properties reflect this philosophy, focusing on quality, comfort, and outstanding customer service. As a leading hospitality group, White Lodging continues to set high standards in hotel and restaurant management, with a comprehensive approach to employee development and guest satisfaction.
The role of Housekeeper at White Lodging plays a vital role in maintaining the pristine condition of guest rooms and common areas. This position is focused on ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and a sparkling presentation to meet and exceed guest expectations. Housekeepers are responsible for providing the highest level of service through meticulous cleaning routines—making beds, stripping and changing linen, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and restocking rooms. This ensures guests experience a welcoming environment from the moment they arrive.
Housekeepers also maintain their housekeeping carts by keeping them organized and fully stocked to optimize efficiency. They perform self-inspections of rooms after cleaning and report the status to supervisors, reinforcing accountability and quality control. Safety is a top priority; therefore, associates are expected to follow safety standards consistently to maintain a secure environment for both guests and fellow team members. Beyond routine cleaning, housekeepers may be assigned additional duties to support the smooth operation of hotel services.
White Lodging values employees who demonstrate a strong guest focus and customer service skills, along with reliability and commitment to completing tasks thoroughly and on time. Motivation and attention to detail are crucial attributes, as is a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory, and employees receive comprehensive training with certification sign-off to ensure they meet company standards. Physically, the role requires the ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 10 pounds regularly and 25 pounds occasionally, as well as the stamina to stand and move quickly for extended periods.
Working at White Lodging offers numerous benefits designed to support employee well-being and professional growth. New hires are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting on their first day, along with life and disability insurance. Parental leave, daily pay options, and employee assistance programs are available to provide additional support. Retirement benefits include a 401(k) plan with company match, promoting long-term financial security. Paid time off and vacation, with rollover options, allow for work-life balance, while complimentary wellness tools and unlimited referral bonuses encourage a healthy lifestyle and community building.
