Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, trade school diploma or equivalent
  • comparable work experience
  • ability to operate vacuum cleaner and high speed buffer
  • ability to lift and move furniture and appliances
  • ability to stand for several hours and climb stairs
  • experience with special needs populations is a plus
  • basic computer knowledge is a plus

Job Duties

  • Sweep, mop, wash, dust, and vacuum
  • seal, wax, and buff floors and hard surfaces
  • maintain sidewalks, including sweeping, raking leaves, and shoveling snow
  • clean individual units when vacated or requested by work order
  • sort and package recyclables to comply with NYC regulations
  • operate compactor
  • set up and clean up for meetings and other events
  • assist painters and engineers when assigned
  • perform work at other facilities as required
  • perform other related duties as assigned
