Job Requirements
- Ability to lift or move furniture, cleaning equipment, and supplies on a frequent basis
- ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, push, and pull for cleaning purposes on a repetitive basis using proper body mechanics
- mobility to sit, stand, walk, and tour the community by foot
- must be able to climb and descend stairs
- working hours as agreed with the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Building Services Director
- weekend duty can be expected
- working conditions both indoors and outdoors with potential exposure to inclement weather
- ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics
- neat appearance, adherence to dress code and good personal hygiene
- ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, residents, families and visitors
- maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents and community operations
- willingness to work as a team member to provide services to residents
- ability to work to the standards defined in the Parc 20 Basics, The Four Steps of Service, and the Parc Communities Credo
- tolerance for exposure to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel, and visitors
- possible exposure to chemicals as identified in the MSDS Manual
Job Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- excellent people skills with a patient, compassionate and friendly attitude
- well organized with ability to complete assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- good communication skills and ability to interact and build professional relationships with older adults
- knowledge of OSHA-MSDS sheets and procedures
- knowledge of fire, safety, and infection control procedures
- ability to convey a positive and professional image to residents, family members, visitors, and co-workers
Job Duties
- Regular scheduled cleaning of the common areas and resident apartments
- launder residents’ flat linens
- clean, sanitize and wash all public and community areas, including public toilets
- follow the cleaning schedule provided by the Housekeeping Supervisor or General Manager
- wash windows as needed
- maintenance of safety and safekeeping of all toxic and/or corrosive chemicals used in housekeeping functions
- maintenance of housekeeping inventories of cleaning supplies, paper supplies and cleaning equipment
- advise management of any concerns in resident units
- proper handling of refuse and waste of the facility
- perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Building Services Director or General Manager
