Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Effective communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift at least 25 pounds
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, or stretch frequently
  • Possession of acute faculties for sight, hearing, touch, and smell
  • Willingness to adhere to safety, infection control, and chemical hygiene policies
  • Ability to work independently and in teams

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent cleaning skills including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, bed making, and trash disposal

Job Duties

  • Daily cleaning of patient rooms, corridors, and public areas to maintain an aesthetically pleasing sanitary environment
  • Sanitizing patient rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure a sanitary environment
  • Performing terminal cleaning in patient rooms, surgery rooms, and catheterization labs to provide a sanitary environment
  • Demonstrating proper usage of chemicals and supplies as per departmental policies
  • Adhering to infection control practices, including hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment
  • Complying with isolation room procedures and blood-borne pathogen standards
  • Completing daily assignments and communicating effectively with management regarding job performance
