The opportunity at Oakmont of Redwood City is for an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of the entire community. The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning all resident apartments, public areas, common spaces, and work areas, as well as managing laundry tasks for both residents and the community. This role demands a friendly and courteous attitude, aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and values. Working Tuesday through Saturday, the position offers a competitive pay range of $18.60 to $20.50 per hour.

In this role, the Housekeeper contributes directly to the well-being of residents by ensuring their living spaces and shared areas meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. The position requires collaboration with other departments to foster teamwork and a cooperative working environment. The Housekeeper will help maintain a secure environment adhering to established safety protocols, which is imperative in a senior living setting.

Oakmont Management Group seeks individuals with a strong desire to care for the elderly, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and fellow team members. The role necessitates passing a criminal background check and health screenings, including physical and TB tests, prioritizing the health and safety of all community members. Additionally, in protecting team members and residents, the company may require COVID-19 vaccinations, daily health screenings, surveillance testing, and the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • ability to pass criminal background check
  • ability to pass health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
  • willingness to comply with COVID-19 health and safety requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Prefer prior housekeeping or janitorial experience
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • excellent customer service skills
  • strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
  • possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
