Job Description

Woodhaven Village is a senior living community dedicated to enriching the lives of its residents through compassionate care and unwavering support. Located within a warm and welcoming environment, Woodhaven Village strives to cultivate a family-like atmosphere where residents feel valued, cared for, and respected. As part of our commitment to excellence, we focus not only on the physical health and safety of our residents but also on fostering emotional well-being and social connections. Our team members are passion-driven, empathetic individuals eager to contribute to creating exceptional living experiences for seniors. At Woodhaven Village, you are not just an employee; you are an integral part of a community that thrives on mutual respect, professionalism, and heartfelt service. Our mission centers on providing quality care with dignity and respect, ensuring that every resident enjoys their daily life in a nurturing and supportive environment.

We are currently seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join our dedicated team. This role operates Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and offers a pay rate of $14.00 per hour. The Housekeeper position plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall ambiance of both the common spaces and individual resident rooms. This ensures a safe, hygienic, and pleasant environment for all residents and staff members alike. As a Housekeeper at Woodhaven Village, you will be responsible for following established procedures and performance standards that align with our high quality of care. The ideal candidate will possess a natural affinity for seniors and genuinely care about their well-being, recognizing the importance of a clean and comfortable living space in promoting health and happiness.

Essential duties involve detailed cleaning tasks such as dusting vents, handrails, ceiling fans, baseboards, and furniture, as well as vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets and upholstery. Additionally, the Housekeeper will sanitize bathrooms, maintain stocked dispensers, and manage housekeeping supplies and chemicals in a safe and responsible manner. This role requires vigilance in identifying potential safety hazards, maintenance needs, and changes in residents' conditions that should be communicated promptly to management. The Housekeeper must adhere to infection control techniques and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to ensure a safe environment.

Beyond cleaning, the position encourages teamwork and communication with residents, their families, and fellow staff. The Housekeeper is expected to respond to resident concerns compassionately and maintain emotional composure in various situations. Participation in educational programs, staff meetings, and in-service trainings is also part of the role, emphasizing continuous professional development. While prior experience in a hospitality or senior community setting is beneficial, it is not a requirement as training and support are provided.

Working at Woodhaven Village offers numerous benefits that support both your professional growth and personal well-being. Full-time employees enjoy paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to maintain a healthy work-life balance, daily pay for financial flexibility, comprehensive health and dental insurance, and a 401(k) plan with employer match to secure your financial future. Additional benefits include company-paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, referral bonuses for bringing in qualified candidates, tuition reimbursement to help with educational goals, and an Employee Assistance Program connecting you with resources to address personal challenges.

If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference and thrive in a team-oriented, compassionate environment, Woodhaven Village invites you to bring your talents and join our family. Together, we will continue to provide exceptional care and create a community where seniors feel cherished every day.
