Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree preferred
- Meet state and federal requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning and sanitation protocols
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to identify and report safety and equipment concerns
- Availability to work full-time
- Willingness to adhere to facility policies and procedures
- Good interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for the role.

Job Duties
- Assist with maintenance of a clean and sanitary facility by following a comprehensive cleaning program including sanitizing furnishings, fixtures, and floors
- Clean movable and stationary furnishings and fixtures regularly through dusting, washing, disinfecting, and polishing
- Maintain clean and stocked public and private bathrooms by washing and disinfecting all fixtures and replenishing supplies
- Conduct emergency cleaning by handling spills, slick surfaces, and broken furniture to ensure safety
- Perform terminal cleaning duties and prepare rooms for new residents
- Report environmental services issues including safety concerns and equipment malfunction to supervisor
- Maintain and properly use cleaning equipment and materials
- Ensure proper documentation of cleaning services and safety measures
- Conduct quality assessment of cleaning procedures and services
- Assist with policy development and updates in environmental services
- Support survey processes as directed
- Maintain and apply current skills through continuing education and in-service programs
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and facility policies
- Communicate effectively in English to safely perform duties
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Perform physical activities including standing, sitting, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing, twisting, walking, running, carrying, talking, and using the telephone
- Manage exposure to medical equipment and individuals with potential health risks.
