We are currently seeking a skilled Housekeeper to join our team on a part-time schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with Sundays and Mondays off. The pay range for this position is between $19 and $21 per hour. The Housekeeper role is crucial for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards across both indoor and outdoor community areas. This position requires advanced training and demonstrated skill in performing a wide variety of cleaning and maintenance duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting work performed on assigned premises and submitting detailed reports to a Supervisor for quality assurance.
The Housekeeper will play an integral role in ensuring that all communal spaces, including restrooms, walkways, offices, recreational areas, and exterior grounds, remain clean, safe, and well-stocked with supplies. This position requires the use of specialized cleaning equipment, adherence to occupational safety standards such as those mandated by OSHA, and the ability to follow detailed safety procedures to handle chemicals and cleaning solutions correctly. The Housekeeper is expected to maintain friendly professionalism and excellent communication with supervisors and community members alike.
Physical demands are significant in this role, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely, work on feet for long durations, and operate within varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, wind, and rain. The role also involves performing duties at heights up to three feet and requires flexibility in mobility including crawling in confined spaces and climbing stairs. As part of an evolving team, the Housekeeper may also need to participate in emergency cleanup efforts and occasional travel for training.

Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures
- Ability to work in upright standing position for long periods of time

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Multiple language fluency is desirable
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use cleaning equipment properly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning
- Informs supervisor of needed supplies
- Maintains all cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals
- Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning
- Properly utilizes new equipment and follows safety procedures
- Maintains friendly and professional attitude
- Maintains appropriate levels of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas
- Inspects all assigned areas daily and reports discrepancies to supervisor
- Ensures security procedures are adhered to at all times
- Follows all safety precautions while performing work
- Completes daily work orders as scheduled
- Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition
- Cleans restrooms including sweeping and mopping floors, refilling dispensers, and cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and counters
- Reports any discrepancies or deficiencies to supervisor
- Performs property-specific job responsibilities as assigned
