Key duties involve performing cleaning tasks such as trash removal, laundry services, cleaning and disinfecting common areas, resident rooms, and bathrooms, and upkeep of facility supplies like soaps and paper products. The position requires adherence to stringent federal, state, and local standards as well as Solaris HealthCare's policies and procedures for cleanliness and safety. This role is vital in preventing the spread of infections and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.

The role includes responsibilities such as checking for and addressing stains or damage in patient rooms, replenishing cleaning and hygiene supplies, high dusting in resident and common areas, reporting damages or abnormalities to supervisors, and maintaining cleanliness of janitorial equipment and supplies. The position may also include other assigned duties like laundry and floor maintenance. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and experience in the healthcare industry is considered advantageous.

Job Duties

  • Ensure facility cleaning procedures are followed including furniture cleaned and orderly, floors are cleaned, cubicle curtains are clean and in good condition, commonly touched areas are disinfected, bathrooms are cleaned and disinfected
  • Check room for stains (walls, floors, ceiling tile, toilet seats) clean as needed
  • Ensure all soaps, sanitizers, toilet paper and paper towels are replenished daily
  • High dust over bed lights, A/C vents and exhaust vents as needed in resident rooms and common areas
  • Report all damage found while following cleaning procedures to your supervisor
  • Other duties which may be assigned from time to time (laundry, floor tech, etc.)
  • At the end of each shift, ensure your chemicals and product are replenished and your carts and janitor closet are neat and cleaned ready for the next shift
