Job Description
Bickford Senior Living is a distinguished community of caregivers who are devoted to enhancing the happiness and quality of life of seniors. Established in 1991 in Olathe, Kansas, by the Eby Family, the organization was named in honor of Mary Bickford, the matriarch of the family and the first resident of a Bickford location. Since its inception, Bickford Senior Living has expanded to over 50 communities across seven states, maintaining a strong commitment to a family-oriented environment that has served thousands of residents and employees with exceptional care and dedication.
Bickford Senior Living prides itself on its heartfelt mission to champion quality of life for all seniors by delivering high-quality care combined with a personal, compassionate touch. Residents are encouraged to enjoy life to the fullest in a warm and inviting setting that feels like home. Beyond resident care, Bickford also cultivates a uniquely supportive community for its team members, offering robust programs, rewards, and benefits aimed at helping staff live their best lives both personally and professionally. With a belief that potential has no limits, Bickford provides best-in-class leadership development programs to foster career growth and achievement for all employees.
The role of Housekeeper at Bickford Senior Living is a vital position that supports the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the Branch and residents’ apartments. This opportunity is available in full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules, each offering a tailored set of benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance for eligible full-time employees, 401(k) plans with employer match, prescription savings plans, paid time off, and the unique option of daily pay. Housekeepers play an essential role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness that align with Bickford’s commitment to quality care.
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the Branch to a standard of excellence that reflects the quality of care Bickford is known for. This includes following an established housekeeping schedule, responding promptly to any emergency cleaning tasks, and prioritizing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and pleasant environment. Adherence to chemical and physical plant safety procedures is imperative to safeguard the health and safety of both residents and staff. Additionally, the Housekeeper is tasked with keeping the housekeeping cart clean, stocked, and organized, and strictly following Bickford’s "10-Step Weekly Apartment Cleaning" process to ensure every resident’s apartment is impeccably cared for. This role also supports the maintenance coordinator with inventory management and ordering of cleaning chemicals, contributing to the efficient operation of the housekeeping department.
Joining Bickford Senior Living means becoming part of a team where your efforts directly impact the satisfaction and quality of life of senior residents. It is a position for those who take pride in their work, demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving skills, and show a genuine willingness to contribute to a warm, caring community. This is not just a job but a meaningful calling to make a difference every day by fostering an environment that feels like family and home for all residents and coworkers alike.
