The role of Housekeeper at Medical Center Health System is vital to preserving the health and safety of the hospital environment. This position requires an individual who can perform thorough cleaning functions in assigned areas, upholding a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition throughout the facility. The housekeeper will be responsible for routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, waste removal, washing walls and windows, and care for floors using specialized equipment like buffers and vacuum cleaners. The position demands attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in various hospital departments, including sensitive and specialized areas such as Surgery, Labor and Delivery, Nursery, Isolation Rooms, and Intensive Care Units.

The Housekeeper must be adaptable, able to follow changing priorities, and respond effectively in emergency situations to support the hospital's business needs comprehensively. Good communication skills in English are necessary for safety coordination and collaboration with patients, doctors, staff, and patients' families. The job requires physical stamina to manage standing, climbing, stooping, walking, and lifting during an entire shift. The role involves possible exposure to hazardous, combustible chemicals and infectious diseases, making strict adherence to safety protocols imperative.

This is a full-time evening shift position, scheduled from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and prior experience in institutional cleaning are favored. The ideal candidate exhibits a neat and clean personal appearance at all times, demonstrating pride in their work and a strong concern for detailed cleaning.
