The company has earned a distinguished reputation across the United States for providing best-in-class services in a variety of settings. These include luxury communities, hotels, resorts, government and business dining facilities, full-service restaurants, state and national parks, outdoor recreation areas, boathouses, marinas, museums, conference centers, senior living communities, health care systems, school and university dining facilities, and specialty retail stores. This diverse portfolio demonstrates Guest Services’ deep commitment to excellence and high standards in customer care, making it a leader in the hospitality industry.
Guest Services is an Equal Opportunity employer that values diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The company is dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone is encouraged to bring their whole selves to work. This philosophy fosters a collaborative environment that empowers employees to deliver exceptional service to a wide-ranging and diverse customer base. As part of this commitment, all qualified applicants receive consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected Veteran status.
The Housekeeper role at Guest Services is a skilled and essential position that involves routine and specialized maintenance activities to ensure cleanliness and sanitation within the assigned facility. This is an hourly position compensated at $14.00 per hour. The housekeeper will work diligently to maintain a sanitary environment by cleaning guest rooms, common areas, and other facilities with a strong emphasis on compliance with the company’s “green” initiatives, which prioritize environmentally friendly cleaning practices.
The responsibilities of this role include cleaning and dusting furniture, fixtures, and surfaces, changing linens, making beds, vacuuming and sweeping floors, emptying trash, replenishing supplies such as soaps and shampoos, and maintaining bathrooms to the highest standards of cleanliness. The housekeeper also plays a vital role in identifying and reporting maintenance or quality issues to management promptly. The role requires physical stamina, as it involves frequent bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and standing for long periods. Housekeepers frequently work in wet, slippery, hot, and damp conditions and must safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
This position demands strong sanitation habits, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols. Communication skills are vital as housekeepers must effectively interact with supervisors and coworkers. The housekeeper uses various equipment, including rolling carts, industrial washers and dryers, vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools. Physical endurance and a commitment to quality and safety are critical for success in this role.
Overall, working as a Housekeeper with Guest Services offers an opportunity to be part of a well-established company that values its employees and customers equally. The role supports the company’s mission to deliver outstanding service and maintain high standards of hospitality across a wide range of facilities and environments. Individuals in this position contribute directly to creating safe, clean, and welcoming spaces for guests and customers, making it a meaningful and rewarding career option within the hospitality sector.
