The role being offered is for a Housekeeping position within Twenty 20 Management’s senior living communities. This is a full-time employment opportunity where the individual will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across residential homes and public areas within the community. The Housekeeper plays a vital role in supporting the company’s mission by ensuring a clean, safe, and pleasant living environment for residents. The job duties encompass a broad range of cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, polishing furnishings, washing walls and ceilings, cleaning bathrooms and community spaces, managing waste disposal, and maintaining janitorial supplies. Special attention is given to readiness of move-in homes to ensure incoming residents find a clean and hospitable setting.

Additionally, the Housekeeper is expected to execute their responsibilities in alignment with the company’s core values and high standards of professionalism. They must demonstrate excellent customer service skills by interacting courteously with residents, visitors, and staff, fostering a welcoming community atmosphere. The role requires physical stamina and cognitive ability to safely manage repetitive tasks, lift heavy materials, and adapt to varying work conditions including exposure to different temperatures and potential health hazards.

This position requires adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to senior living services. Employees must maintain necessary certifications and participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and inspections as directed. The Housekeeper will also collaborate closely with supervisors and maintenance teams to report safety hazards and ensure all repairs and upkeep are conducted timely.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
  • Ability to follow cleaning schedules and supervisor instructions
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting pushing pulling up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work in variable environmental conditions including exposure to chemicals and infectious agents
  • Dependability and accuracy in task completion
  • Willingness to adhere to all federal state and local regulations related to senior living community standards
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor
  • Maintain required certifications and participate in audits and inspections as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • Ability to follow directions and safety guidelines
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Customer service experience is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in senior living environments

Job Duties

  • Follow cleaning schedule and instructions as directed by supervisor including residential homes and public areas
  • Sweep and vacuum all assigned areas
  • Clean and/or polish all room furnishings fixtures ledges heating/air conditioning units in resident rooms and all public areas
  • Clean walls and ceilings by washing wiping dusting spot cleaning disinfecting and deodorizing
  • Clean all community showers toilets sinks countertops and baseboards stock with paper towels toilet paper soap and shampoo
  • Clean and check model rooms and work in concert with the maintenance to ensure that all incoming residents' homes are cleaned and ready for move-in
  • Clean all hallways stairways and elevators as necessary
  • Clean employee break area when necessary
  • Empty trash in offices and public areas
  • Report to supervisor any unsafe/hazardous conditions within the Community and any needed repairs to housekeeping or other facility equipment
  • Keep janitor closets and housekeeping supply rooms clean and orderly
  • Foster and demonstrate company core values
  • Any other tasks or duties assigned by your manager and support for other departments as needed
  • May be assigned as job lead/support for peers depending on experience and performance
  • Ensure excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner
  • Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority
  • Meet and greet visitors in a friendly helpful manner including residents' families friends prospective residents their families referral sources vendors and regulators
  • Communicate professionally and cooperate with supervisor and all community personnel
