The Housekeeper role at Carlton is an integral part of maintaining a clean and healthy living environment for residents. This full-time position involves a dynamic range of daily housekeeping tasks such as making beds, cleaning resident rooms and bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold the community’s high cleanliness standards. The Housekeeper will also manage laundry operations, ensuring clothes and linens are properly washed, dried, folded, and returned, while keeping an organized system for tracking and sorting resident items. They will play a critical role in supporting overall cleanliness by handling trash disposal, organizing supply rooms, and assisting with specialized cleaning activities including window washing and floor care. Employees in this role will also contribute to the safety and security of residents by adhering to safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices, which are crucial in senior living settings.
In addition to operational duties, the Housekeeper will help cultivate a friendly and collaborative atmosphere among residents, their families, and staff members. Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years or older, per Title 22 requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to housekeeping
- Willingness to comply with safety and health protocols
- Availability to work full-time shifts Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years or older, per Title 22 requirements
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and undergo training
- Ability to work full time on assigned schedule
- Strong attention to detail
