The Housekeeper position at Sagora Senior Living, specifically at the Spring Lake Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Paris, TX, is a vital role responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents. This full-time position with day shifts offers a starting pay range of $13.00 to $15.00 per hour. Housekeepers play a key part in enhancing the daily quality of life for residents by ensuring all living spaces and community areas are meticulously cleaned and organized. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing resident apartments, common areas like bathrooms and offices, and handling laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens. Housekeepers must also maintain housekeeping carts with appropriate supplies and ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards regarding chemical storage.

Job Requirements

  • One year of work experience in a hospitality environment such as a hotel country club or resort preferred
  • Must be able to read write and communicate effectively with residents families guests and other associates in English
  • Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals as well as being exposed to chemical fumes dust and pet dander
  • Frequently required to stand walk reach with hands and arms sit stoop kneel crouch and crawl
  • Occasionally required to lift and or move 30 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds occasionally and push or pull up to 100 pounds

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize residences and contents including vacuuming dusting cleaning kitchen and bath fixtures turning mattresses moving light furniture emptying trash receptacles
  • Other cleaning duties for resident apartments offices bathrooms and other common areas in the community
  • Assist with cleaning and refurbishing of vacated residences as they become vacant
  • Wash dry fold and store linens and other laundry of the community and residents
  • Coordinate delivery and return of resident laundry
  • Keep housekeeping carts clean and organized
  • Keep carts stocked with appropriate cleaning supplies in OSHA-approved containers
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
