This opportunity is for the position of Housekeeper within the Housekeeping Department, reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor. This is an hourly, non-exempt role that comes with a base wage of $22.38 per hour under the City of Denver Prevailing Wage Law, with potential variations based on specific job assignments. The position offers a host of attractive benefits, including a $500 signing bonus after 30 days of service and an additional $500 after 90 days, generous paid time off, holiday pay, health, dental, and vision insurance eligibility upon hire, a 401(k) investment plan with an employer match of up to 4%, as well as healthcare reimbursement and flexible spending plans. The Housekeeper role involves performing a variety of routine cleaning and maintenance tasks essential to maintaining a neat, orderly, and sanitary environment within the facility. The work is performed under normal supervision within a standardized work setting but may require some non-routine duties requiring communication with supervisors for problem resolution. A housekeeper at the Colorado Convention Center will be responsible for cleaning floors, hallways, stairways, glass, fixtures, furniture, and equipment, along with sanitizing spaces and restocking restroom supplies. The role demands a hands-on approach where employees must efficiently manage their tasks to uphold the high standards expected at the Center. It also requires the ability to adapt to sudden deadlines, changing priorities, and the physical demands of the job, including frequent walking, climbing, bending, and manual labor in varying conditions.

This position is ideal for individuals who demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are dependable, and can work effectively with a diverse team. The ability to provide courteous customer service and operate basic computer functions are also important. The Colorado Convention Center encourages applications from women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans, reflecting its status as an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to diversity and inclusion.

Working as a housekeeper at the Colorado Convention Center means being part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment where employees play a critical role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of event attendees and visitors. Candidates entering this role can expect ongoing training, opportunities for growth, and a supportive work culture that values their contributions to the organization's overall success. Employment is contingent upon the ability to provide legal authorization to work in the United States, in compliance with federal employment laws.
