We are currently seeking a Housekeeper to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeper will ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and disinfected to company standards, playing a crucial part in upholding Newport Healthcare's commitment to creating a healthful and hygienic setting. The Housekeeper's responsibilities include cleaning various surfaces such as furniture, floors, windows, and decor using appropriate methods and products. They will maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety signage, labeling, and protocols to prevent workplace hazards. Additionally, the role involves emptying trash, deep cleaning rooms as needed, replenishing supplies, checking for any damages or safety concerns, and assisting with room preparations for admissions and discharges. The housekeeper also manages custodial equipment and responds swiftly to custodial emergencies such as spills or broken glass.

Compensation for this position ranges from $16 to $21 per hour, depending on education and experience. Job Duties

  • Cleans all surfaces such as furniture, floors, windows, and decor with appropriate methods and products
  • maintains a safe work environment including proper signage, wet floor warnings, and SDS labels
  • empties trash
  • deep cleans rooms as necessary
  • replenishes custodial and office supplies
  • checks rooms for damages or repairs and reports safety hazards
  • cleans and maintains custodial equipment such as vacuums and carpet cleaners
  • assists with room preparations for admissions and discharges
  • launders linens as necessary
  • ensures safe and sanitary storage and care of products
  • responds to custodial crises including spills and broken glass
