Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. This role is essential in ensuring that every guest room is cleaned and serviced daily according to established hotel procedures and safety standards. The Room Attendant will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including cleaning guest rooms, replenishing supplies, changing bed linens, and maintaining the overall appearance of rooms and corridors. This position requires a keen eye for detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. The workweek generally consists of 36-40 hours, with some flexibility required for longer shifts depending on hotel needs.

In this role, attention to detail and the ability to follow company guidelines for safety and security is paramount. The Room Attendant will also be the point of contact for guest requests related to room cleaning and maintenance, requiring excellent communication skills and a hospitable attitude. Coordination with the Senior Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that work priorities are managed effectively and that the cleanliness standards of the hotel are consistently upheld.

  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred but not required
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly

  • Ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • Physical stamina to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to be standing or walking during entire shift
  • Ability to bend and lift
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
  • Availability to work 36-40 hours per week

Job Duties

  • Clean guest rooms and stock with appropriate supplies in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations
  • Picking up trash
  • Changing linen and making the bed
  • Cleaning entire bathroom
  • Sweeping and dusting guest room
  • Cleaning the windows and balcony
  • Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart according to prescribed housekeeping, safety and security procedures and regulations
  • Receive assigned section, keys, supplies and any priority room requests from the Senior Housekeeper
  • Turn in keys and unused supplies at the end of shift
  • Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to the Senior Housekeeper and turn in articles left in the room
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and provide assistance when needed
