As a member of the Sycamore Springs team, your role will involve maintaining a sanitary, safe, and aesthetically pleasing facility that supports quality patient care. This position is fundamental to hospital operations and patient satisfaction as it directly supports frontline caregivers and the overall patient experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring patient rooms and designated hospital areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards by performing daily cleaning tasks such as trash removal, changing bed linens, and sanitizing surfaces. Adherence to infection control protocols, especially patient isolation policies, is a critical part of the job to maintain safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
This role also includes important support tasks like restocking supplies in patient rooms to ensure they have adequate paper items and other necessities. Maintaining the cleaning cart and equipment in good working order and storing them properly at the end of each shift is essential for operational efficiency. Job Duties
- Cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces
- follows policies and procedures on patient isolation
- stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated
- maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift
- creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility
