Reporting directly to the Head of Housekeeping, the Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring each space is clean, organized, and reflective of our hotel’s high standards. Beyond the routine cleaning tasks, this role involves a strong focus on customer service, characterized by maintaining a positive and upbeat personality to deliver outstanding service and foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere.\n\nThe Room Attendant must exhibit an eye for detail, managing tasks such as changing linens, replacing supplies, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and ensuring that all areas are well-stocked and orderly. They also observe the condition of furniture, walls, carpets, and appliances, reporting any damage or deficiencies promptly to the Head of Housekeeping. Maintaining confidentiality and trustworthiness is vital, as this position handles guest rooms and property with the highest level of discretion. This role also demands strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including following protocols for chemical handling, fire safety, and OSHA regulations.\n\nTeamwork and communication play a significant part in the daily functionality of the housekeeping department. The Room Attendant participates in meetings and collaborates with fellow staff to uphold departmental standards and contribute to a positive work environment. Additional responsibilities include assisting in quarterly and annual deep cleaning, training new staff members, adhering to key control policies, and managing lost and found items as per company procedures. This position requires a balance of diligence, efficiency, and pride in work to consistently meet productivity goals while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or similar role
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to follow safety and sanitary procedures
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Good interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties
- Maintain a positive and upbeat personality with strong customer service skills
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor while wearing brand-approved uniform
- Maintain confidentiality and build guest trust in housekeeping staff
- Clean and stock all assigned guest rooms including linens, supplies, and bathrooms
- Communicate room status promptly to Head Housekeeper
- Greet guests upon encounter in the property
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitary guidelines including OSHA regulations
- Keep workspace, storage rooms, and housekeeping carts organized and stocked
- Observe and report condition of furniture, walls, carpets, and appliances
- Assist and participate in staff meetings and training sessions
- Adhere to key control guidelines
- Assist in quarterly and annual cleaning duties
- Process lost and found items according to company procedure
- Support a positive and enjoyable work environment
- Understand hotel products and services including food and beverage and recreation
- Perform other duties as assigned
