The Cleaning Staff position at Case Properties plays a crucial role in upholding the standards of cleanliness and presentation within the apartment complexes and associated facilities. This role is primarily responsible for preparing vacant apartment units for new residents by performing thorough cleaning tasks that cover every aspect of the unit, including appliances, fixtures, floors, and windows. Beyond vacant units, the staff person also ensures that models, offices, clubhouses, laundry rooms, and fitness centers remain spotless daily, contributing significantly to the overall appeal and functionality of the properties managed by Case Properties.
This position requires keen attention to detail, the ability to assess cleaning needs accurately, and timely communication with the Property Manager regarding supplies or any issues encountered. The job involves daily upkeep activities like emptying trash, vacuuming, dusting, baseboard cleaning, and maintaining common areas like clubhouses and offices. Additional responsibilities can include specialized duties tied to corporate suites, such as changing linens and managing supplies. The role demands physical stamina, as it involves standing, walking, climbing stairs, moving heavy appliances with assistance, and performing tasks that require manual dexterity and good vision. The successful candidate will complete a pre-employment screening process, including background checks and drug screening.

Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs
- Capability to use hands to finger, handle, grasp or feel objects
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Capacity to stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to talk and hear effectively
- Physical ability to move heavy appliances such as refrigerators, washers, and dryers with assistance
- Ability to lift objects up to 75 pounds with assistance
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation including criminal record search, employment verification, and drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Six months of experience in apartments and/or residential cleaning
- Ability to communicate with property managers through written and oral instructions
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English for business communications
- Professional demeanor when conversing with residents, co-workers, and vendors
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening
Job Duties
- Assessing the condition of the apartments or areas to be cleaned each week and notifying the Property Manager of any necessary supplies
- Cleaning all fixtures, counters, cabinets, windows, ovens, bathrooms, blinds, floors, and appliances including areas underneath refrigerators and ovens in vacant apartment units
- Turning in completion reports to the Property Manager after each apartment is cleaned
- Performing touch-up cleaning on vacant units as needed
- Cleaning models, offices, clubhouses, laundry rooms, and fitness centers daily
- Maintaining cleanliness of the office area by emptying trash, vacuuming, cleaning windows and baseboards, and dusting desks, computer areas, and picture frames
- Keeping clubhouse refrigerators, cabinets, and janitor closets clean
- Mopping clubhouse floors as needed
- Keeping all windows, doors, and vents clean
- Preparing and stocking coffee for the day
- Completing all job-related tasks assigned by the Property Manager
- Undertaking additional responsibilities for Corporate Suites, including cleaning and changing dishes, linens, and soaps when applicable
