The role of a Room Attendant at Marriott International is crucial in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that the brand is known for. This position involves responding promptly to guest requests and collaborating effectively with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. Room Attendants are responsible for preparing guest rooms by replacing amenities, cleaning bathrooms, changing linens, and making beds to ensure each room meets Marriott’s exacting quality standards. Attention to detail is paramount, as attendants must check that all appliances are present and functioning, straighten furniture and desks, and maintain the overall tidiness of the rooms. Additionally, Room Attendants perform routine tasks such as vacuuming carpets and performing floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways.

Attendants must follow all company and safety policies and procedures, report any maintenance issues or hazards, and complete required safety training. Job Duties

  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
  • fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area
  • enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering
  • replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms
  • replace dirty linens and terry with clean items
  • make beds and fold terry
  • clean bathrooms
  • remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items
  • check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order
  • straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances
  • dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
  • vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties such as in guest rooms and hallways
