The Housekeeper role at Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago/Mt.   • Experience in hospitality service consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures

  • Willingness to work varied schedule including evenings nights weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use the guests' names whenever possible
  • Work together to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Have strong knowledge of all hotel features and amenities
  • Support all groups and events at the hotel
  • Understand relevant technology for the role
  • Answer incoming calls with friendly service using approved greeting
  • Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized front and back of house
  • Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet every guest happily with a smile while cleaning
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time
  • Submit accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Wear a clean approved uniform and be well-groomed wearing a nametag and smiling
  • Communicate clearly honestly and professionally with team members
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude and willingness to go beyond the traditional role
  • Commit to collaboration and creating a positive workplace
  • Complete pre-cleaning duties including stocking room supplies and attending morning meetings
  • Thoroughly clean and restock guest rooms as assigned
  • Perform additional cleaning projects in storage, public spaces, laundry, and deep cleaning
  • Follow job-related instructions and perform other duties as assigned
