Job Description
ASM Management Bakersfield operates and manages the Dignity Health Arena, Theater, and Convention Center, a prominent establishment offering versatile venues for major events including concerts, sporting events, conventions, and theatrical performances. The arena boasts a seating capacity of ten thousand, while the theater accommodates three thousand attendees, making these venues significant hubs for entertainment and cultural experiences in the region. ASM GLOBAL is a renowned leader in venue management dedicated to creating safe, accessible, and enjoyable event environments while upholding high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
The company is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the Clean-Up Crew positions. These roles are vital to maintaining the pristine condition of the Dignity Health Arena and its associated facilities before, during, and after all events. The Clean-Up Crew is responsible for ensuring that every part of the arena, theater, and convention center is spotless and welcoming to visitors, contributing to the overall event experience. This is an operational role that demands attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
The Clean-Up Crew's responsibilities include detailed cleaning of seats, aisles, restrooms, suites, parking lots, dressing rooms, and windows. The role also entails taking out trash, scrubbing floors, mopping, and performing various other cleaning duties. These tasks are essential in maintaining the venue’s reputation for excellence and hygiene standards.
Ideal candidates will be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as events dictate. This flexibility is crucial as events can occur outside normal business hours. The position requires physical stamina, the ability to stand and move for extended periods, and the capability to lift heavy items such as tables, chairs, and stage decks. ASM provides training for new hires to ensure all crew members are well-equipped to perform their duties efficiently and safely.
Working both inside the classic indoor environment of the arena and theater and outside in locations like parking lots exposes the Clean-Up Crew to varying seasonal conditions, including heat. Therefore, candidates must be prepared for these conditions. Collaboration and adherence to instructions are highly valued since the role involves working as part of a team and sometimes independently with limited supervision.
ASM Management Bakersfield promotes diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer, encouraging applications from women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans. The company also complies with VEVRAA federal contracting requirements, reflecting its commitment to affirmative action and workforce fairness. Employees must be adaptable as ASM GLOBAL retains the right to alter job descriptions and duties as necessary, supporting dynamic operational needs.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking steady, part-time work in an exciting environment that supports event-driven activities. The role is a foundational part of ensuring the success and smooth operation of prominent entertainment and cultural events in Bakersfield, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. Those who join ASM Management’s Clean-Up Crew become integral to maintaining the high standards of one of Bakersfield's key event venues, gaining experience in facility management, teamwork, and operational support.
