Founded in 2006, MCR operates a substantial portfolio of 148 premium-branded hotels encompassing more than 22,000 guestrooms across 37 states and 106 cities. The company manages a diverse portfolio that includes nine Marriott brands, eight Hilton brands, and many unflagged independent hotels, reflecting a strong reputation built on service excellence and innovative hospitality practices. MCR’s leadership in the hospitality industry is demonstrated by its receipt of numerous prestigious awards including Fast Company’s 10 Most Innovative Travel Companies of 2020 and the Marriott Partnership Circle Award multiple times, underscoring its commitment to operational excellence and employee engagement. Located in a strategic airport vicinity, Homewood Suites by Hilton Baltimore-BWI Airport offers exceptional lodging experiences geared towards travelers seeking comfort, cleanliness, and exemplary guest service in an accessible environment. This hotel epitomizes the high standards of MCR’s hospitality mission to deliver safe, inviting, and meticulously maintained accommodations.
The Housekeeper role at Homewood Suites by Hilton Baltimore-BWI Airport provides a critical function in maintaining the cleanliness and operational excellence that define MCR’s service standards. This position is focused on ensuring guest satisfaction by upholding spotless cleanliness, engaging in friendly guest interactions, and contributing actively to a team-oriented work culture. The housekeeper's core responsibility involves cleaning and preparing guest rooms, hallways, and public spaces with thoroughness and attention to detail. Beyond routine cleaning, this role requires pre-cleaning preparations such as stocking supplies, engaging in regular team meetings, and handling linen management. The housekeeper is also expected to participate in special cleaning projects that enhance the appearance and hygiene of all hotel areas.
In addition to physical tasks, the role requires a positive and proactive approach toward guest interactions, including greeting guests with a smile, utilizing their names when possible to foster a welcoming atmosphere, and managing any guest concerns with professionalism and a sense of urgency. Administrative duties such as completing operational checklists with 100% accuracy and providing precise shift handover reports are vital to sustaining product consistency and smooth hotel operations. The housekeeper must adhere to uniform standards, maintain a clean appearance, and communicate effectively with team members to promote teamwork and collaboration throughout the hotel.
Physical demands of this job include lifting, stooping, climbing, balancing, and repetitive motions, reflecting the active nature of the housekeeping profession. Candidates must be prepared to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic needs of hospitality service. The position also requires punctuality and adherence to scheduling policies. Successful housekeepers demonstrate resilience under pressure, effective conflict resolution skills, and a sincere commitment to hospitality service excellence. This role offers an enriching career opportunity within MCR’s prestigious hotel network, alongside competitive benefits such as hotel discounts, weekly pay, paid time off, retirement options, referral bonuses, and health insurance accessible after 30 days of employment for full-time employees. This combination of professional experience and company benefits provides a rewarding pathway for individuals passionate about excellence in hotel housekeeping and guest service.
